The Smart Module is a powerful diagnostic tool, designed to connect the ECU’s of Cars, Motorbikes, and Trucks to any computer such as a full Desktop PC, Laptop or Touch Screen Tablet. The vehicle applications software is located on board the 5041, while the “Host Display” such as a Laptop, runs Java display software. The 5041 Smart Module is completely independent of any of the typical PC Operating Systems like Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
This represents a major step forward in flexibility, giving the user a much wider range of hardware options to choose from. The Smart Module comes equipped as standard with RS232 and USB communications. Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Wireless communication options are also available. |
